In the last article of this five part series, I discussed the fundamental principles of success. In everything you do, you will find that there are a few core principles which are responsible for 90% of your success. This is true in business, in dating, and in life.
Some of these “elusive fundamentals” are things like:
These fundamentals are true no matter what you do. If you want to succeed at ANYTHING, you MUST be consistent. You must be clear in your goals. You must focus on what is relevant, learn from mentors, and make small 1% improvements every single day.
Today however, I’d like to shift focus from my previous “Overview” article. I’d like to talk about how these fundamentals are specifically applicable to the most important thing in your life: your health. This encompasses physical fitness, aesthetics, strength, energy, and your overall well being.
I was listening to a talk the other day, and had a major epiphany. It was given by a man who had made over $100 million in sales online, and the entire talk was about one thing: returning to the fundamentals.
Throughout your life, you will go through periods of expansion and contraction; periods of growth and recovery; periods of experimentation and stabilization. Throughout these periods, you must always remember one thing.
The fundamentals are key. Whenever you are having a problem in any area of your life, be it health, wealth, love, or happiness, it is almost always due to a lack of respect towards the fundamentals.
In fact, this concept is so damn important I’m going to be writing an epic five part post on it. So, without further ado, here’s part one.
I’m actually at the gym right now, doing the “Strength Day” of my Body of an Alpha routine.
I usually don’t write articles on my phone when I’m at the gym, but something dawned on me as I was lifting.
You can have whatever you want in life. I don’t care what it is; riches, fame, success, happiness. You can have whatever it is that you want, if you just understand one thing.
This one thing is simple. In fact, it’s so simple that most people already know what it is…but very few people understand it’s power.
Tell me if this has ever happened to you…
You’ve been going to the gym for a while, following a great workout routine. You want to get in shape. You want to look good for the summer and for the girls.
Maybe you even bought my book “Body of an Alpha,” and you’ve been doing the routine to some great success. For whatever reason though, you just can’t seem to lift anymore. It seems like you’ve hit your “genetic potential.”
Well let me tell you, the term “genetic potential” is a crock of horse shit. You can always be better, always run faster, always jump higher, and always lift more weight…the only question is HOW? When you understand the “how” you can do almost anything.
…and that’s what I’m going to share with you today. Over the years I’ve encountered all manner of witchcraft, voodoo trickery, and fly-by-night scams, and I’ve learned to separate the facts from the bro science. So with this in mind, here’s four insider tips that I use to blast past my personal records.
To become a badass alpha male you have to live like a badass alpha male. As the masculine philosopher Aristotle once said:
We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence therefore, is not an act, but a habit.
Your identity, then, is nothing but a sum total of your habits. What you do everyday, day in and day out, determines the direction of your destiny.
Adopt the following 6 habits and move towards a life of more energy, health, virility, and, of course, higher testosterone levels.
Ask anyone who’s been in the game long enough…muscle isn’t built in the gym, it’s built in the kitchen. That old saying may be a cliche, but it’s absolutely true. If you’re not eating some of the best bodybuilding foods out there, then you’re robbing yourself of gains.
Going to the gym breaks your muscles down. It tears them apart, but that’s only half the battle. The other half is when you build them back up by eating well and resting long enough. Interestingly enough, most guys actually mess up HERE rather than in the actual gym.
If you want to build that lean, shredded physique that everyone so desperately wants, you need to eat right. There’s no way around this—abs are built in the kitchen, not in the gym. Without the proper nutrition, all of that hard work you spent lifting weights will just go to waste.
So with that in mind, I have a specific “go to” list for all of my favorite muscle-building foods, and I always have every single one of these in my kitchen. With that in mind, and without further ado, here’s my seven best bodybuilding foods that should ALWAYS be in your kitchen.
Every day I get guys asking me how to get girls. They’ll ask me questions like “how do I get a girl interested in me,” or “what do I do when she ignores me.” I’ll get questions about health and fitness, trading cryptocurrencies, and pretty much anything and everything in between.
…and of course, I happily answer these questions. I remember what it was like not knowing how to get women interested in me. I remember what it was like being a scrawny little kid who just wanted to put on some muscle, and I remember what it was like being broke as a joke.
But there’s something that’s importance cannot be overstated—and that’s never losing sight of the “bigger picture.” See having the dating life you want, being in good physical shape, and having enough money are all great. BUT, they’re only on the lower rungs of Maslow’s Hierarchy.
They’re incredibly important, believe me—nobody realizes this more than me. When you don’t have these things, you feel terrible, and all you can focus on is getting them. But there’s something beyond this, which I call “the ultimate goal” and we must not lose sight of it.
Let’s face it—getting great quality sleep is pretty important. Whether you’ve got a high endurance run the next day, or a powerlifting competition, or even just an average day at work, you want to wake up fully refreshed, energized, and ready to conquer the day.
Of course, sometimes life doesn’t allow this. In our ever-changing society, new inventions such as artificial lighting have thrown a massive monkey wrench into our 500 million year old sleep schedule. For eons, animals woke up when the sun rose, and went to sleep when it set.
Now however, this isn’t always the case. We have weird sleep schedules, with some of us trading Bitcoin into the wee hours of the night. Many of us can’t fall asleep for hours, despite the fact that it’s dark out. Here’s where “sleep hacking” comes in handy.
There’s a new and emerging branch of science called “bio-hacking,” which I find fascinating. The idea is to “hack” your biology to get a desired effect—in this case, better sleep. So with that in mind, here’s some of the top biohacks I use to get rock solid sleep every night, without failure.
If there is any body part that just screams “alpha male”, it would have to be the shoulders. Big, broad, cannonball shoulders are the most noticeable feature of a well-defined upper body, and having them will do wonders for the looks you get from young, fertile women.
Not only that, but strong shoulders are a must for any sort of functional movement, whether it be lifting something above your head, throwing, punching, or anything else. If you want to be athletic and fit, you are going to have to have strong shoulders—period.
“How do I strengthen my shoulders?” you might be asking. Well, there are many, many exercises to do so. I personally recommend lifting weights, as they’ll offer the most resistance and thus the biggest opportunity to grow your muscles. If you want to be jacked, you have to lift weights.
But, sometimes it isn’t possible to lift weights. Maybe you don’t have enough money for a gym membership. Maybe you’re on vacation and need a quick workout to to while you’re in the hotel. Hell, maybe you just don’t want to go to the gym, because it’s thirty minutes away. Whatever the cause may be, here’s my top five bodyweight shoulder exercises.
We all waste time. It’s inevitable.
We waste time chasing women who don’t want us. We waste time on lowly jobs that aren’t going anywhere. We even waste time running away from reality, checking the latest news on our Facebook feed and keeping up with people we’ll never meet again.
But sometimes eliminating a few bad habits can have a strong effect. Sometimes, it’s not so much what you do that counts—it’s what you don’t do.
So with that in mind, here’s my top five habits to stop doing right now.
