There’s a lot of hype over supplements nowadays. Everyone wants the latest pre-workout. Hypershock rage, C4, Jack3d, nano vapor…the list goes on and on.
And while pre-workouts do have some ingredients in them that have been scientifically proven to enhance your workouts, you don’t need them.
In fact, you don’t really need any supplements. They can help, but they aren’t necessary.
Maybe you’re against pre-workouts, because you don’t like putting 8 different types of stimulants in your body. I get it. Or maybe you just don’t want to spend the money—that’s fine, too. Either way, here’s my all natural pre-workout.
The Best Natural Pre Workout
A broke college student can’t afford this shit
When I was a sophomore in college I started getting very deep into lifting. I’d been working out for a while, but this is when I started to develop an obsession with it.
Every single day, rain or shine, I’d hit the gym. It didn’t matter if I was sick or if I had to sacrifice doing homework—I hit the gym, and I hit it hard. Sometimes I’d even sacrifice my social life to get that workout of the day in.
The only problem was that I couldn’t afford $500 a month to spend on JUST supplements. Hell, I could barely afford $30 a month on pre-workouts.
But these were my gains we were talking about! I had to find a way to optimize them. So after doing a whole bunch of research, I actually ended up making my own natural pre-workout.
This natural pre-workout only costs pennies a day. Despite the low cost, however, it’s extremely effective.
How to Make Natural Pre Workout
All you have to do is consume two bananas and a cup of coffee before you hit the gym, and do my bio-energetic routine beforehand. This will leave you energized, focused, and ready to attack the weights like an animal.
Natural Pre Workout Ingredient #1 – Bananas
Bananas are a great natural pre-workout food, because they’re fast digesting and contain glucose, which the body uses directly for energy (without having to convert it). They also contain potassium, which prevents muscle cramps.
In short, they’re nature’s pre-workout. They give you the energy and electrolytes you need in the gym.
Natural Pre Workout Ingredient #2 – Coffee
Caffeine has been shown, time and time again, to benefit workouts. It’s been shown to delay fatigue, improve endurance, and increase power output. That’s why every single pre-workout on the market has caffeine in it.
So, if you want to have a kick ass workout, consume caffeine.
But don’t just consume any caffeine—the source that you get it from has to be pure. If you try to get caffeine from crappy, low quality coffee, it will have only a small effect. If you get it from a great, organic, fresh roast, however? The effect will be huge.
I recommend you use Red Coffee—they have my favorite medium roast, and it’s organic, it’s smooth, it’s delicious, and it’s one hell of a natural pre-workout.
And don’t you dare put any sugar or cream in it. That shit’s for girls. Be a man and drink it black.
Natural Pre Workout Ingredient #3 – Release
Because we live in a society where it isn’t socially acceptable to fully express ourselves, we have a lot of pent up energy. Our minds also race with thoughts (unless you meditate), which drains us of our energy.
Some people resort to pseudo-amphetamines (yes, they’re in pre-workouts) in order to become energized, but it isn’t necessary.
There’s a whole field of study known as bio-energetics, which studies how your body, emotions, and mind are all inter-related. I won’t go too deep here, but the idea is that if you move a certain way, you can trigger certain chemical releases in your brain and energize yourself naturally.
Doing the following routine will fill your body with energy, unleash your mind’s full and undivided focus, and boost testosterone:
Bounce up and down on your feet for 1 minute. Really feel the impact of the ground on your heels.
Move your body around in every way possible. Flail your arms around, kick your legs, do whatever you need to do to release pent up energy.
Pound your chest and SCREAM at the top of your lungs! Really let loose.
I guarantee if you do this, you’ll feel more energized than if you just took a scoop of C4 and drove to the gym. Doing this routine releases pent up stress and anger, which means a more free version of you.
The Bottom Line
This natural pre-workout strategy is extremely simple. It consists of a source of energy (bananas), a simple stimulant (black coffee), and a bio-energetic exercise. It could literally not be more simple.
Despite its simplicity, however, it is perhaps one of the most effective pre-workout routines ever. And, best of all, it’s all natural.
I know that when I do this routine, I feel better than when I take C4, neurocore, or any other pre-workout. If I combine it with a pre-workout, however? Well, that’s an entirely different story.
